SKINS DNAmic Compression Giveaway
What’s Better Than New Running Gear?
New Running Gear That Will
ENHANCE YOUR PERFORMANCE & RECOVERY!
Sounds pretty cool don’t you think? I certainly did!
Through my affiliation with Fit Approach and Sweat Pink, I was offered the chance to receive and review a piece from SKINS new line of DNAmic sportswear. You know I JUMPED at the chance! I truly believe that a runner can never have enough cool running gear so this was definitely a NO BRAINER! You can check out their entire DNAmic line here: Women’s DNAmic and Men’s DNAmic
Because I like to run in shorts, as opposed to tights, I chose the DNAmic Women’s Superpose Shorts. I usually wear compression type shorts so I figured these would be perfect. I like that they have the loose shorts over the compression.
Before I took my new shorts out for a spin, I did a little reading on their website so that I would understand what I should be expecting from them.
Dynamic Gradient Compression
“SKINS A400 and DNAmic ranges are the only high performance apparel to take into account compression levels needed to increase oxygen delivery to active muscles while in motion. We call this dynamic gradient compression.
SKINS worked with the scientific and industrial research organization in Australia to develop a device capable of taking multiple readings of the human body in motion.
We now know what compression levels are required for specific muscle groups whilst static, during activity and in post exercise recovery. We know where you need movement for comfort and injury prevention, and how to get the best circulatory benefits for more oxygen delivery and reduced lactic acid build-up.” (source)
My Experience with SKINS DNAmic Superpose Shorts
I am in love with these shorts! I am not just saying this, I swear. First of all, I wasn’t sure I could even run today because my legs were still super sore from the class I took at the gym on Sunday. It was called Core, Cardio & More. I could barely walk on Monday. My glutes and inner thighs were killing me. This morning, I knew I needed to get out there and get in at least a few miles so I threw on my SKINS and out the door we went.
Length of the compression short is perfect for me. They are just long enough to cover that “rub” section of my thighs. I do not need to wear anti-chafing cream with these shorts.
Tightness of the compression is also perfect for me. They stayed in-place and down the entire run. No riding up. I did not once even have to pull them down while we were running. They were snug enough for me to feel the affects of the compression but not too tight to where I felt all stuffed in or uncomfortable. It’s pretty warm here so I appreciate being able to have a good compression without having to wear capri or long tights. The compression hugged my thighs and glutes right where I needed while still feeling light and comfy.
Style is right on. I think these are super cute and I like that they have the light short on top. No panty line worries 🙂
Storage is useful. There is a small pocket on the back. I kept my key and a little $$ in there. It could fit a gel, credit card, and/or ID. You can see this pocket in the picture above.
I guarantee you, these will be a pair of shorts I will be seen in very often.
Generously, SKINS has not only sent me these shorts, but is also sponsoring this giveaway. They are offering one lucky winner the same choice I had…an item from their new DNAmic line of compression active wear!! What? What! And, if that wasn’t enough, they have also given us a coupon code to share!!
